Raoul Döring is a German award-winning designer and photographer. He is drawn to a geometrical, calm and minimalistic style of photography composed of a balanced mix in natural and artificial elements that draws the eye of the viewer to its depth. Most often he captures motives he himself describes as “Dokumentarische Inszenierung” (the documentary capture of staged like scenes and moments).

His images often tell the stories of people and their performances in various habitats, but also those places in nature where human existence can only be recognised in traces or through the presence of the photographer. At first glance, he contrasts nature with urban space; however, with his eye for aesthetics and details, he blurs the boundaries between natural and urban spaces.
